Local Places That Are Easy to Love

Everything You Need Is Just Around the Corner
You don’t need to plan your days here. You can just wander. The beach is close. So are cafés. The paths are flat. The people are kind. And everything’s easy to get to.
We love walking along the Esplanade. It connects several parks and beaches. It’s slow, quiet, and gentle - just how you want it to be.
Cafés and Food Worth Slowing Down For
Attached to Cronulla Beach, you’ll find Bobbies. It’s got a beautiful view over the water. The food’s good. The team is friendly. And it’s right at the start of the Esplanade.
If you’re after something fresh, the local açai café has vegan-friendly and organic bowls. If you just want to sit and people-watch, Northies is great too.
My son loves going over to the local Mexican - so Guzman y Gomez is his favourite when we go down there. There’s Italian, Asian, pub-style, takeaway, dine-in - whatever you’re in the mood for, you’ll find it nearby.

Beaches and Parks That Are Easy to Reach

Cronulla Beach is the big one. It’s wave-heavy and always patrolled. Salmon Hall is quieter, with calm water if waves aren’t for you.
Shelley Park has cafés, flat rock pools, and a fenced playground. There are barbecue spots and picnic areas too. There are so many different parks and playgrounds to choose from.
Some of my best memories with my children down here have been going down to the local beaches, spending time playing in the rock pools, swimming in the ocean and building sandcastles.
Shops and Essentials Close By
You’ve got the IGA that’s only a hundred metres down the road. You’ve got the Coles that’s also just down the road.
You also have Cronulla Mall and the train station. You also have the ferries down near the station at Gymea Bay to connect you over to Bundeena. And Westfield Miranda.
If you need anything - groceries, chemists, takeaway, gifts - you’ll find it nearby. It’s all walkable. Nothing feels far.

Nature That Shows Up Right Outside
You’ll see dolphins and whales breaching. It’s beautiful. We’ve had whales breaching really close.
You might even get a visit from the local cockatoos, just coming onto your balcony.
Even just being in the apartment, unwinding and relaxing, hearing the local sounds feels like a proper getaway.

A Community That Welcomes You
You don’t just stay here - you become part of it. People nod when you walk by. You recognise the same faces at the same coffee spots.
Even small things like going to the same IGA or walking the same loop every morning start to feel good. Familiar. Safe.
