Short Term Accommodation & Respite
A Beach Break That Actually Feels Like One

You know that feeling when everything slows down? When the ocean’s just steps away, and it feels like the world’s finally quiet enough to breathe? That’s what it’s like here.
It brings the best out of people and gives you those really holiday-type feelings when you're having a break away from home.
STA and respite here don’t feel clinical. They feel real. The sun, the sea, the space to stretch out - it’s all part of the stay. And it’s not just a pretty backdrop, it’s home.
Frazzled? Here’s What You Don’t Need to Bring (1:12)
This video gives practical tips for families packing for a beachside stay - what to bring (think swimmers, wipes, scooters, and comfort toys), and what’s already stocked in the apartment to make life easier. It’s all about helping frazzled parents feel a little more prepared, and a lot more relaxed.
Not Just a Visit - You’re Part of the Place
When you come here, you’re not a guest. You’re part of the neighbourhood. People say hello on the Esplanade.
You start to see familiar faces. And your dog might even make more friends than you do.
Once you’re welcomed into the Shire, you become a part of it. There’s that feeling that this is yours. Like you’ve been here before. Like you’ve found something good.

It’s Calm, But It’s Never Boring
Being out here is therapeutic, not just physically but mentally too.
You might spend the morning at the beach, grab lunch at a local café, then unwind with a movie.
Or maybe you’re watching dolphins from the balcony. You won’t even need binoculars to see them breaching. It’s not about doing more. It’s about doing what feels good.

A Home That Feels Like Yours
Walk into the apartment, and you’ll see flowers, pictures, books and games - everything you need to feel like you’re at home.
Every space is ready to be lived in. Or napped in.
You don’t have to clean the place from top to bottom - just take your things with you when you go. And if you forget something, it’ll be sent back to you.
Bring Your Support, Or Meet New Support
You can use your own support worker or ours - or even share support. Our own support workers are on site if you need them.
The main thing is you get care the way that works for you. We can step in to relieve your support worker while learning your needs, likes and dislikes - so everything stays smooth.
Pet-Friendly
Small pets like cats or dogs are welcome. If they’re part of your family, they’re part of the stay. There are local parks and beaches nearby where pets can play too.
